M&M Specialist Auctions are proud and privileged to have been instructed to disperse the magnificent and significant collection of the late Brian Halling. Brian was an avid and passionate collector of farm model replicas with a particular fondness for vintage era machinery from all makers. As well as models, real machinery formed a firm presence as part of Brian’s life with him taking several trips around the World to view the different themes of agricultural machinery different countries had to offer. Indeed, Brian took several trips to the USA to which his miniature collection of tractors clearly demonstrates.
M&M have worked closely with Brian’s family to which they have offered a few words below:
In loving memory of a very dear father, Brian Reginald Halling, 1931-2019
“Dad’s large vintage model collection, consisting of a vast assortment of model tractors and other farm machinery as well as Corgi and Dinky toys/cars, along with a smaller collection of Border Fine Arts pieces will be auctioned off through M&M Auctions throughout 2020.
This eclectic collection spans many decades and, coupled with Dad’s enthusiasm and a keen eye for ‘something special’, enabled him to build up a rather impressive collection including many a ‘rare find’.
Dad got a great deal of enjoyment from both accumulating and admiring his collection and it is hoped that his cherished pieces will find their way into the homes of other avid collectors who will have the same appreciation for Dad’s models as he did.”
Brian’s collection will be offered for auction in our specialist sales throughout 2020. We begin with part one in our March 2020 Auction which includes Border Fine Arts, Ertl, Scale Models, RJN and Mike Karslake pieces.
